    New to aerial arts? Want to brush up on the basics? In this mixed apparatus class, we will work on the foundational skills necessary to gain the strength and body awareness to be safe in the air. This 90-minute class consists of a thorough warm up geared towards adults, technical instruction on both vertical and horizontal aerial apparatuses including fabric, rope, sling, hoop, and trapeze, and guided conditioning and cool down at the end. Skills covered in this course include foot climbs, foot locks, straddle inversions, pullovers, hip keys, and knee hangs. Once you have successfully learned the skills taught in our Aerial Foundations course, you may advance to our Level 1 and Level 2 courses.

    Flexibility is one of the key aspects of all circus arts including aerial dance. This class focuses on techniques for building flexibility. By combining passive flexibility and active flexibility, we will cover a vast range of flexibility training methods to help you discover your body’s custom flexibility regimen. This will be an intense class, please be ready to be pushed past your comfort zone. Please come to class with lots of water and wear layers of clothing to stay warm. Please note, two prerequisites apply for this course: All participants must be able to bend forward and touch your toes with knees straight and must be able to push up into a bridge on hands from the floor.

Some of the skills covered in this course will include double foot lock to cross back straddle, Rebecca split, S-lock, angel drop, and bicycle climb. Please note, this is a Level I class and you must have successfully graduated from our Aerial Foundations course and/or have instructor approval prior to registering for this Level I course.

    In this course, we will learn the mounts, poses, and sequences that are unique to aerial hoop and will explore spinning on hoop. Some of the vocabulary we will cover includes mermaid, gazelle, knee hang above the hoop, and arabesque. More advanced students will learn higher level vocabulary. Please note, this is a Level I+ class and you must have successfully graduated from our Aerial Foundations course and/or have instructor approval prior to registering for this Level I.

    Looking to refine and fine-tune your vertical apparatus skills and add some new vocabulary? In Vertical Technique, we will work on improving and strengthening inversions and learn how to set up basic wraps including catcher's, s-lock, triangle wrap, and hip key on rope and fabric. We will also work on inverted climbs including a variety of straddle climbs and split fabric climbs. Simple drops and sequences will be incorporated into this class in order to help build stamina in the air. This course is available to Foundations level students who are ready to progress into more challenging vertical work (instructor approval required) and students with Level I or higher fabric or rope permissions.

    Flexibility is one of the key aspects of all circus arts including aerial dance. This class focuses on techniques for building flexibility. By combining passive flexibility and active flexibility, we will cover a vast range of flexibility training methods to help you discover your body’s custom flexibility regimen. This will be an intense class, please be ready to be pushed past your comfort zone. Please come to class with lots of water and wear layers of clothing to stay warm. Please note, two prerequisites apply for this course: All participants must be able to bend forward and touch your toes with knees straight and must be able to push up into a bridge on hands from the floor.
